Our MissioN

The mission is simple and can be summed up in three verses: And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” ~Matthew 28:18-20

While the mission is simple, that doesn’t necessarily equate to easy. We’re not expert teachers by any measure, though we’ve had great teachers in our lives we try to emulate. Our hope is you may find peace in troubled times, truth as sure as the rising sun, a love for God’s Word to comfort you, and the path to salvation in Jesus Christ.

On this site you will find articles addressing spiritual, theological, and cultural issues from a Biblical perspective. You will also find study notes from the Bible studies we attend each week.

Our Core Values

We all have a worldview, a lens through which we experience the world around us. It is shaped by our knowledge, our lived experiences, traditions passed down to us from family and friends, and culture. There are other things, other encounters or life events, which mold us, but those are the big ones. Our worldview is decidedly Christian and the crucible within which our values are forged. What are our values?

  • A moral code based on human standards is built on shifting sand and varies with each generation. A true moral standard must be built on a foundation beyond ourselves and is true for all people in all places at all times.
  • Mankind is inherently evil, incapable of living up to any moral standard. Left to themselves men and women will utterly fail and descend into chaos and death.
  • God provided the way to overcome our wickedness, providing a Savior in Jesus Christ, that lived the perfect moral life we were incapable of achieving, and bore the price of our failures through his death. But in His resurrection He conquered death and reconciled those that believe on His name back to God.
